Hurriyet - Türkiye’s young population proved an asset in adapting to new technologies in the banking industry, according to Senior Vice President of Innovative Platforms at MasterCard, Eric Tomlinson.
“Türkiye has always been the pioneer in adaptation of new technologies in banking and payment methods”, said Tomlinson. “Today, new technology allows the use of mobile devices as a method of payment, while a mere ten years ago increasing the acceptance of credit cards among vendors was a hot topic”, remarked Tomlinson, adding that Türkiye is in a position to lead the world in this matter.
