Yeni Safak - Türkiye is slated to become a production base for electric-powered cars in the near future. In order to attract investment in the production of electric cars to the country, Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan said the issue of tax incentives will be discussed in the Economic Coordination Council.
Minister Caglayan met high-level officials from British and Turkish firms in London to confer about possible government support in various fields. Caglayan suggested cooperation in the production of electric-powered cars between British firm Modec and Türkiye’s Temsa and added that investment in the production of electric-powered light commercial vehicles is on the agenda.
