World Medicine İlaç Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi was established in Türkiye in 2011 as an affiliate of the World Medicine Corporate Group.
World Medicine aims to be a reliable business partner and a leading company in all countries and fields of operation with a diverse portfolio of more than 450 pharmacological products in ophthalmology, neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, urology, pulmonology, etc.
With its headquarters and R&D laboratory equipped with cutting-edge technology in Istanbul, World Medicine exports to more than 35 countries. The company has one of its domestic production facilities in Istanbul and the other in Tekirdağ, Çerkezköy. The company also has two overseas production facilities in Romania and Algeria.
World Medicine's success story started by earning the ninth-place award in "Export of Pharmaceutical Products" category in 2016. The company maintained its winning streak in 2017 with the "Fastest Rising Company in Export" award and a third-place award in "Export of Pharmaceutical Products" category. It later walked away with the third-place award in the “Stars of Export" category in 2018. With its successful export performance in 2019, World Medicine ended in the second place in the "Stars of Export - Pharmaceutical Exports" category of the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association (IKMIB). Thanks to its export record in 2020, it was named Türkiye's leading pharmaceutical exporter.
World Medicine ranked 390th on the ISO 500 list in 2021, leaving behind many pharmaceutical companies that had previously been on this list and ranked 5th in the industries.
In addition to factory investments, the company focuses on R&D operations and aligns itself with innovative technologies with the aim of becoming a prominent company in the global R&D market.
World Medicine ranks among the “R&D 250, Türkiye's Top R&D Spending Companies" list and continues to grow rapidly. According to 2022 results, World Medicine was the 2nd company in the list of companies that carry out the most projects among all industries across Türkiye. Likewise, it ranked first in the pharmaceutical industry.
