Enerjisa, Siemens plan 30 MW wind farm in Türkiye

Energy Current - Enerjisa has chosen Siemens AS, a subsidiary of Siemens AG, as a partner for its new 30 MW wind power plant to be built in the Mahmudiye district in the western Turkish province of Canakkale. Around EUR 37 million (USD 49.6 million) will be invested in the project. Construction works for the plant will begin towards the year end, whereas the project is slated for completion in mid-2010. The Enerjisa Canakkale Wind Power Plant will have wind turbines with a span of 101 meters (331 ft). Enerjisa, a joint venture between Sabanci Group and Austrian electricity company Verbund, plans to produce around 5,000 MW of power by 2015, 185 MW of which will be wind power.
