EIB may grant loan even if no deal is inked with IMF

Halka Tercuman - Matthias Kollatz-Ahnen, Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in charge of Türkiye, said that their operations will not be affected even if an agreement is not signed with the IMF. Kollatz-Ahnen stated that they achieved a record loan worth a total of EUR 2.7 billion in Türkiye last year, exceeding their target. Kollatz-Ahnen added, “Looking at the previous years, this figure is pretty significant. I think that a similar figure can be achieved this year as well if sufficient demand is observed”.
