Turkey is 8th largest agricultural economy in the world

Turk.net – Turkey’s Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Mehmet Mehdi Eker said Turkey is the 8th largest agricultural economy in the world. "Turkey has a USD 58 billion agricultural GNP and a USD 24 billion agricultural trade volume", said Eker while addressing the Turkish-German Economy Congress in Cologne this week. "The Turkish agriculture sector has shown positive growth in recent years despite the drought and the global economic crisis in the past two years", he stressed.
