Ekrem Demirtas, CEO of Izmir Chamber of Commerce, has stated that they have negotiated with Jarnal Humaidal Falasi, Manager of Dubai Cruise Port, and Pier Luigi Foschi, CEO of the Italian Costa Mediterranean. Demirtas said, “We will build this port in cooperation with the foreign cruise companies. We have discussed the partnership structure with Foschi and have come to an agreement on the term sheet text. 67 % of the company to be established will belong to the cruise companies bringing tourists to Izmir, including Costa, as well.”
