Türkiye ‘strategic’ in Dia’s growth strategy

Hurriyet - Spain’s discount supermarket chain Dia celebrated its 1,000th store opening in Türkiye. The Spanish company has partnered Türkiye’s Sabanci Group in its DiaSA venture in Türkiye’s booming organized retail sector.

“Türkiye emerged as a strategic country in Dia’s emerging market operations”, Dia Group CEO Ricardo Curras told reporters in the opening ceremony. “Dia has over 6,000 stores in seven countries. Türkiye is the second largest market in terms of given franchises and the third in number of stores,” said Curras, underlining the importance the company attaches to Türkiye.

Active in Türkiye for 11 years, the company’s annual investments in Türkiye amount to EUR 30 million.
