Invest News DetailStar - Belgian non-prescription drugs producer Omega Pharma intends to expand its presence in the Turkish market by acquiring local companies, Vice President Chris Staeuble has said. “Omega Pharma is set to grow in Turkey and Poland regardless of its current market share,” said Staeuble in a press meeting in Istanbul. “We are actively looking for acquisition opportunities in Turkey,” said Staeuble, lauding Turkey’s high-performing economy and growing healthcare sector. “Turkey is one of the most promising countries when it comes to healthcare investments. Omega Pharma plans to acquire local players to grab a larger market share in Turkey’s over-the-counter (OTC) drugs,” he added. Omega Pharma markets over 50 OTC drugs under 10 different brands in Turkey. The company has operations in 35 countries.
