Bosch to invest more in Türkiye

Hurriyet Daily News - The Bosch Group has invested EUR 1 billion in Türkiye in the last ten years, said Chairman Franz Fehrenbach. Between 2010 and 2013, the group plans to add almost EUR 50 million to this amount.

Speaking at an event celebrating Bosch's centennial in the Turkish market, Fehrenbach noted that the group's confidence in Türkiye increases every day. Recalling the early days of the company's entry into the Turkish market in 1910, and founder Robert Bosch's attempts to promote relations between the Turkish and German cultures, Fehrenbach said that, from the very beginning, Türkiye meant so much more to them than just another market.

"We trust in the technological capacity of our production facilities and in the technical qualities of our employees in Türkiye. We are increasing the number of our employees. While it was just below 600 people in the early 1990s, it reached 8,250 people in early 2010, and we are aiming to increase the number to almost 10,000 by the end of 2013."
