BSH to set up R&D facility in Türkiye

Milliyet - Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte (BSH) will invest EUR 8 million in a research and development (R&D) unit in its Cerkezkoy, Tekirdag facility. The R&D facility is part of BSH’s already announced five-year investment plan in Türkiye, amounting to EUR 300 million.

BSH is one of the 87 companies that were issued a R&D center certificate by the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Trade. The certificate guarantees state incentives and support as outlined in the Law No. 5746 on supporting R&D activities.

Speaking of their EUR 300 million investment in the next five years, CEO of BSH Global, Kurt-Ludwig Gutberlet said the certificate has given BSH the title of largest foreign investor in the Turkish house appliances industry. “The R&D center to be built in Cerkezkoy will play a major role in our future investments, as it will help us design tomorrow’s technologies,” said Gutberlet.
