Turkish builder Limak readies for IPO

Aksam -The Limak Group of Türkiye, operating mainly in the construction and energy sectors, has decided to go public, according to the company’s CEO Nihat Ozdemir. “Limak Yatirim will be the first group company to be offered to the public, and other companies in the tourism and construction sectors are likely to follow,” said Ozdemir to the press, adding that the application to the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (SPK) will be filed in early March regarding the 35 percent initial public offering (IPO) of Limak Yatirim.

The group will celebrate its 35th year in 2011, and has operations in construction, cement production, tourism, infrastructure, aviation and the food industries, employing over 20,000 people.
