Chinese firm to launch R&D center in Türkiye

Hurriyet Daily News - Huawei Technologies, a Chinese company providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, has announced the inauguration of its first research and development (R&D) center in Türkiye. "The facility will be Huawei’s 15th global R&D center and is aimed at transferring skills and sharing expertise in next-generation telecom technologies with employees, local partners and the industry" read an e-mailed company statement. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concerning the launch of the center was signed in Shenzhen, China between Liang Zhihui, General Manager of Huawei Türkiye, and Alpaslan Korkmaz, President of the Prime Ministry Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Türkiye (ISPAT), with Türkiye’s President Abdullah Gul in attendance. "Huawei will transfer its know-how and state-of-the-art technology to Türkiye and will provide employment for highly-skilled Turkish professionals and new engineering graduates" said the company statement. "The R&D center will develop products and technologies both for domestic and global markets."
