Mercedes-Benz raises market share in Türkiye despite global crisis

AA - Mercedes-Benz Türkiye has raised its market share in Türkiye in the recent five years, the company’s sales and marketing director announced. Tufan Akdeniz, Sales and Marketing Director of Mercedes-Benz Türkiye's light commercial vehicles department, said the company's market share was up in Türkiye in 2009 despite the global economic crisis, like in the last four years.

"We are aiming to maintain a similar uptrend this year", said Akdeniz during a ceremony in the Mediterranean province of Antalya. Mercedes-Benz Türkiye was established in Istanbul in 1967 under the title Otomarsan. The company changed its name as Mercedes-Benz Turk Corporation in 1990.
