Dunya - Gaziantep-based Naksan Group, a manufacturer of plastics and textile products, will venture into Türkiye’s booming energy market by building a thermal power plant in the Anatolian Turkish province of Eskisehir.
The group’s subsidiary Adularya Enerji, which is active in the Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone (GAOSB), will build and operate the 290 MW power plant at a cost of EUR 400 million. Yunus Emre Thermal Power Plant, named after a famous Turkish folk poet, will go into stream by 2012, according to company officials.
The investment will provide job opportunities for 2,500 people and up to USD 150 million savings in energy imports.
