Invest News DetailHurriyet - Türkiye’s exports in the past month reached an historic level of USD 11.8 billion, the highest level ever recorded for the month of October, according to data released by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). The country’s total exports in the first 10 months went up by 20 percent over a year earlier and surpassed USD 111.3 billion, while exports in the last 12 months (October 2010 – October 2011) reached USD 132.5 billion. The automotive sector ranked first among Türkiye’s export sectors, having shipped USD 1.7 billion worth of products abroad in October. The chemicals sector generated over USD 1.4 billion, while the ready to wear-textiles and iron-steel industries shared third place with USD 1.32 billion.
