Türkiye ranked 55th on IMF's list of richest countries

Turkish Press - Türkiye has been ranked the 55th on the International Monetary Fund`s (IMF) list of countries having the highest income per capita. According to the IMF`s evaluations for the year 2008, there are 57 countries whose national income per capita is over 10 thousand USD. 31 of those countries are in the European continent. Luxembourg with a gross domestic product (GDP) per capita of 117.2 thousand USD is on top of the list. It is followed by Norway with an income per capita of 97.8 thousand USD and Qatar with an income of 95.1 thousand USD. Türkiye is ranked the 55th in the world and 31st in Europe with an income per capita of 10.7 thousand USD.
