Turkish industrial production on the rise for the 31st consecutive month

Sabah - Türkiye’s industrial production continued on its steady rise for the 31st consecutive month, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). Figures show a 2.7 percent increase in the index in June compared to the same month of 2011, marking the highest ever rate for the month of June.

The gas, steam and air conditioning supply and distribution sector grew by 9.2 percent in June, becoming the highest performing industry subsector while production of intermediate goods gained a remarkable 6.3 percent. Mining and quarrying subsector expanded by 4.6 percent, followed by manufacturing with a 1.8 percent increase in June over a year earlier.
