Invest News DetailThe New Anatolian - Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler said that an invitation notice would be issued on February 21, inviting the interested companies to participate in the nuclear powerplant construction process in Turkey. Guler replied to questions of participants and reporters after a meeting organized by Turkish Atomic Energy Authority (TAEK). Upon a question, Guler said after the regulation on nuclear energy generation was published, the ministry would issue an invitation notice. Guler also said two locations were determined in Turkey for the construction of nuclear powerplants, one in southern province of Mersin and the other in Black Sea province of Sinop. He said the location in Mersin had the necessary license and the companies eager to start the construction of the nuclear plant immediately would be able to start the work there. In his reply to a question on which technology would be used for nuclear powerplants in Turkey, Guler said, "It will be a new and tried technology".
