Companies including Limak Insaat, Makyol Insaat and Italy’s second largest construction company, Astaldi SpA, were part of the two groups that placed bids for the Izmir-Istanbul highway, which is expected to cost around USD 6 billion, according to the newspaper. The highway will reduce the amount of travel time between the two cities from six and a half hours to three and a half hours.
