Aksam – The long-awaited day for the signing of Nabucco project has come after seven years of negotiations. Today, the leaders of five countries (Türkiye, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Austria) that the pipeline crosses will sign the deal, officially starting the project which is widely regarded as a move to free the EU from its dependency on Russian gas. An investment of EUR 4.5 billion will be made in Türkiye for the project. The natural gas pipeline will be 3,300 km long and will create employment for 10,000 people.
