Turkey and Chile to cooperate on renewable energy

AA– Turkey and Chile have agreed on renewable energy cooperation, said Turkish State Minister Zafer Caglayan on Wednesday. Caglayan met Chilean Minister of Energy Marcelo Ramos Tokman and Minister of Public Works Sergio Bitar in the Chilean capital of Santiago, and discussed cooperation opportunities. "Turkey and Chile have agreed to cooperate on renewable energy", Caglayan told reporters after meeting Tokman. Caglayan said the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) could cooperate with its Chilean interlocutor in joint oil exploration. The minister added that Turkish and Chilean technical teams will come together soon to discuss cooperation opportunities, particularly in energy.
