Türkiye and Iran sign border trade protocol

AA - Türkiye and Iran signed a border trade protocol in the eastern Turkish province of Van last week. According to the Turkish Foreign Trade Deputy Undersecretary Sevket Ilgac, the Kapikoy border gate will be opened to transit commerce procedures in November 2009 at the latest under the protocol. Ilgac said the protocol is a road map for the preferential trade system. Meanwhile, seven Turkish and seven Iranian companies signed commerce agreements in the iron, cement and furniture sectors.
