North African turmoil urges Italian companies to consider Türkiye

Dunya - Italian companies experiencing difficulties due to the unrest in North Africa, take a serious look at Türkiye as an alternative investment location. The number of Italian companies inquiring about investments in Türkiye is on the rise since January when popular uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt began, according to Turkish trade missions in Italy.

Eight Italian companies are reportedly considering investments in Türkiye, with a few of them being Invictorled, a producer of industrial lighting systems, the Miglioli Group in solar energy, Dataprocess in electronics, ICSS in packaging and Magnetica in electric motors.

Leading Italian brands Fiat and Pirelli have major investments and production operations in Türkiye and the trade between the two countries reached USD 14 billion in 2010.
