The Independent: Türkiye is the economy to watch

Hurriyet - The Turkish economy’s success in the first half of the year, characterized by 11 percent of growth, continues to receive applause and praise throughout the world. British daily The Independent listed Türkiye among the eleven countries whose progress needs to be closely watched. Calling the group of countries the “next 11”, the British newspaper cited HSBC emerging markets specialist Alex Tarver saying “Türkiye’s economic performance is one of the most compelling growth stories not just among the emerging market countries but also globally.”

Past weeks also saw NY Times reporting Türkiye’s rise in the eyes of international investors, while The Economist magazine published a special report on Türkiye, comparing the country’s rapidly developing economy to China’s and its diplomatic feats to Brazil’s.
