Kuwaiti company to carry out controlled environment agriculture in Manyas

Gunboyu – A Kuwaiti company has pushed the button to grow tomatoes in geothermal water-heated greenhouses via a controlled environment agriculture method in the Manyas district of Türkiye’s western province of Balikesir. According to officials from the Kuwaiti Sabah El Bahes, which operates in the construction sector but is also willing to invest in the agriculture sector, the company will at first seek hot water and will then establish the infrastructure for controlled environment agriculture. Following its discovery of the required geothermal source for controlled environment agriculture, the company will hire 3,000 decares of land and will employ some 1,000-3,000 people.
