Türkiye has become the aircraft maintenance center of the region

Vatan - Türkiye’s advanced aircraft maintenance facilities have contributed more than USD 1 billion to the country’s economy by cooperation agreements between Turkish and regional air carriers.

The income from aircraft maintenance and repair has reached USD 1 billion in the last two years, according to the country’s civil aviation authority’s Director General Ali Ariduru.

Ariduru said that Türkiye is rapidly growing in the civil aviation industry, nearly doubling the number of its airports from 25 to 46 in the last eight years. “Turkish airline companies currently fly to 176 domestic and international destinations”, Ariduru added.
