EUR 4.8 billion to be invested in Türkiye for Nabucco Project

 

Hurriyet - Reinhard Mitschek, Managing Director of the Nabucco Gas Pipeline Project said the demand for the pipeline is higher than expected. Mitschek said, “The ongoing negotiations are promising positive results. The planned capacity will be reached and Nabucco will successfully address the energy needs of Europe.” 

 

The construction of the project is expected to create employment for 7,000 people, some 4,000 of them being in Türkiye, as more than half of the entire line transits Türkiye. The total cost of the project is EUR 7.9 billion, while EUR 4.8 billion of it is to be invested in Türkiye.
