Turkish businessmen to visit South American countries

Haber Turk- Tuncer Kayalar, the Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretary, said he, together with a delegate of Turkish businessmen, will pay a visit to Paraguay during April 27-28 to sign a cooperation agreement in the construction sector. In a statement on the issue, Kayalar said, "Within the scope of our program to improve economic and commercial relations with South America, we will pay visits to Paraguay on April 27-28, to Uruguay on April 29-30, to Colombia and Peru in June and to Venezuela and Nicaragua in July. Meanwhile, Kursad Tuzmen, the Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade, will lead a delegation of businessmen in visits to Chile and Brazil in May and to Colombia and Peru in October or November." Kayalar stressed the fact that Chile is the first South American country with whom Türkiye signed a free trade agreement and added, "We are aiming to sign similar agreements with the other South American countries."
