The effort is aimed at providing better services to British companies looking to invest in Türkiye, said Akca, adding that Birmingham and Edinburgh are preferred for their status as business and trade centers, as well as for their geographic locations. Türkiye and Britain are expected to see a higher volume of bilateral business, especially with the upcoming forums and high-level visits between the two countries, Counselor Akca added. The second Turkish-British Business Forum will take place in Istanbul on September 9 with the attendance of nearly 300 businesspeople.
