New attaché offices to boost Turkish-British trade

Yeni Safak - Türkiye and Britain are expecting a new phase in their trade, thanks to Türkiye’s decision to expand its diplomatic presence in Britain by opening new attaché offices in Birmingham and Edinburgh, Türkiye’s Trade Counselor to London, Yuksel Akca has said. The effort is aimed at providing better services to British companies looking to invest in Türkiye, said Akca, adding that Birmingham and Edinburgh are preferred for their status as business and trade centers, as well as for their geographic locations.

Türkiye and Britain are expected to see a higher volume of bilateral business, especially with the upcoming forums and high-level visits between the two countries, Counselor Akca added. The second Turkish-British Business Forum will take place in Istanbul on September 9 with the attendance of nearly 300 businesspeople.
