Free land allocation in OIZs extended for 2 more years

Hürriyet - Investment projects in the majority of Türkiye’sorganized industrial zones (OIZs) will continue to benefit from free land allocation, according to Türkiye’s Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, Nihat Ergun.

Due to intense interest in the practice, the government has extended the free land allocation practice for two more years, the Minister said in a written statement, noting that some 6,000 parcels in 196 OIZs covered by the incentive will be made available for investors. There are 276 OIZs throughout the country.

“774 parcels of land were allocated to investment projects during the previous 2-year period that began on April 2011. We expect the extension to attract more investors to OIZs.”, Ergun said.

Free land allocation is only one of the support elements in Türkiye’s general investment incentive scheme which offers tax exemptions, insurance premium support and other advantages to investors depending on the scale, region and type of the investment.
