Vodafone pledges more investments in Turkey

Haber Turk – The British mobile phone giant Vodafone has vowed to increase its investments in Turkey, reiterating commitment in its operations despite a recent plunge in the number of its subscribers in the country. "Our investments in Turkey are long-term and we are looking forward to presenting our 3G products," said Vodafone CEO Vittorio Colao in a written statement on Friday. Vodafone's Turkey head has denied rumors that the company will hand over its operations in Turkey to Deutsche Telecom. Colao said the company will allocate half of its revenues in 2009 to investments.
